WELCOME TO FUTURE FOCUSED

An immersive conference on expanding the nature of school.

Future FocusED brings together educators and industry leaders to talk about expanding education—and the future of teaching and learning—in a space and format designed to effect change. Hosted by and at Beaver Country Day School—a globally-recognized leader in education—this immersive conference is a "learning-by-doing" experience for anyone in the education field.

Attendees will leave these two days inspired by big questions and collaborative conversations—full of creative ideas, connections to partner with, and new tools in their toolkits to do the work.

HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT

We believe in the collaborative nature of learning, and we structure the two-day Future FocusED experience to reflect that.

We have a phenomenal lineup of speakers—including two keynotes who are leading experts in education:  DR. YONG ZHAO and ZARETTA HAMMOND. As a school that has diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice at the core of who we are, our conference, speakers, and presenters reflect and celebrate the value of multiple perspectives, experiences, backgrounds, and identities.

 

Additionally, at the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to learn new skills in our Skills Lab, grow and expand ideas in the BVR Incubator, and get inspired through presentations and workshops. The full schedule will be released in February.

We're thrilled to welcome you to our stunning, state-of-the-art campus in Chestnut Hill, MA—which is less than 10 miles from downtown Boston.

We believe a big part of an impactful conference experience is in the details of the where and the how of making connections with people and perspectives from all over. So, in addition to planning two days of phenomenal sessions and immersive experiences, we also have some things up our sleeve to ensure you have plenty of time to meet others and have some fun.
